Our bi-monthly comedy nights are an intimate affair hosted by loveable West Country favourite Tom Glover. “His interaction with the crowd is perfect with an ability to create mental images, and great ad-lib jokes. We’re always in safe hands with Tom. Come and laugh the night away with us while sipping on your favourite glass of wine.
HonkyTonk Comedy Nights run every other month, with busy lives we realise that time is precious and all too often we put excuses in the way of spending quality time together – remove the excuse and give them a reason.
The kitchen is open from 5pm if you want to make a night of it and have a pre-comedy meal or even just a few drinks. To book a table email [email protected]
The performance starts promptly at 8pm. Tickets are £23 each and available HERE
Headline Act: Suzy Bennett YouTubePlymouth’s own Suzy Bennett returns tot he Honky Tonk in May for what promises to me another hilarious night with some local gags thrown in. Suzy is a dynamo of a comic, with a uniquely warm and chatty stage presence. She has been delighting audiences with her saucy comedy since “accidentally” reaching the finals of Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol on her first gig, and being asked by Jimmy to support him on his “Gag Reflex” tour. Since then she has been storming gigs up and down the country, hosted many major events such as the Playtex Moonwalk in Hyde Park and Dining with Davina McCall. She is also one third of the team behind Plymouth Comedy Tours delivering hilarious walking tours around the city.
“A naturally funny person – very funny indeed!” – JIMMY CARR
Opener: Josh Elton YouTubeSwansea-born Josh Elton has over seven years and well over a thousand gigs under his belt on the Welsh comedy circuit. Now based in Cardiff, this jewish, bilingual comic provides high-energy, raucous humour, proving a hit with any crowd. Since earning the title of the Welsh Unsigned Stand-Up of the Year award in 2017, he has performed right across the UK including the Edinburgh Fringe, Radnor, Neath and Leicester Comedy festivals as well as at top comedy clubs including Stone Circle and The Glee Club.
“Multi-talented and hilarious! […] an immensely funny performance dripping with confidence and self deprecation in equal measure.” – The Glee Club
“Josh is a vibrant, fun comic with loads of strong gags, engaging stories, and an exciting presence. Rocks every show.” – Ignacio Lopez
